ENGLISH DAY 2011

On 31st March 2011 our school organized a Day devoted to English and American festivals.

All classes from our secondary school took part in it. The tasks in this contest were connected with the British and American festivals and their customs and traditions.

This year there were two tasks to do:
- a sketch or a song connected with the chosen festival
- a quiz on English and American festivals

The participants won some very interesting prizes which were sponsored by Oxford University Press and MacMillan. Among the prizes were Oxford Wordpower Dictionaries and many interesting books (readers).

And the winners this year were:
- the 1st place - class III A
- the 2nd place - class II B
- the 3rd place - class II A

On 15th December 2006 an annual English contest took place. This year it was organized for the first time by Zespół Szkół Technicznych in Tczew. Twenty-three participants from our school took part in this contest.

And here are the results.

Mieszko Górski (III A) had the best score so he will represent our school in the finals in Tczew.

WE ALL WISH HIM GOOD LUCK!!!!

The second place - Adrian Formela (I B) and the third one - Patryk Małodziński (II A).

From September till December 2006 students from our school had the opportunity to participate in some special additional English lessons connected with English culture and history.

These lessons took place on Wednesdays from 3:20 pm to 4:45 pm. During our meetings students from I, II and III classes could get to know some facts about Great Britain and watch some films in original English language.

From January 2007 these classes changed their formula. They are still on Wednesdays but their main point is to give some extra information, to our future graduates, on their oncoming MATURA EXAM. Students can come to these lessons to revise and consolidate their previously-gained knowledge.

On June 2005 our school /and precisely English teachers/ organized a Day devoted to English Culture and History.

Before the contest has begun, a few students from classes IA, IIA and IIC presented a sketch about firemen. This performance won the third prize in a Competition of English Drama held by a secondary school in Tczew.

After 'the show' the real contest has begun. All classes from our secondary school took part in it. The tasks in this contest were connected with the British, American and Australian customs, traditions, history and the latest information on those countries.

The first prize won class IIC, the second was class IA and the third was class IIA.

EVERYBODY HAD A GOOD FUN DURING THE CONTEST!!!
